Gemma Harland is a Sydney local, in her third and final year at Macquarie University, studying a Bachelor of Arts With a passion for creating and listening to podcasts, presenting comes naturally to her as she jumped at the chance to speak to an audience and get them fired up. Her calm presence and vocal clarity will give the listeners comfort as though they’re with a close friend. In 2020, she has acquired numerous presenting skills which she plans to let shine in her first full length broadcast. It is this confidence and desire to present a show that engages listeners that makes her very qualified for this role. Her hope for ‘Inside Out’ is that it will help people learn that not one person is the same and to never judge someone without understanding their whole story.

19 yr old Suraya Newell is completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Radio, Digital Audio and Broadcasting Production and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemical and Biomolecular Sciences. Although these degrees may be the polar opposite, Suraya loves that radio allows her to be herself. Whether it be at a gig or in the shower, singing is one of her biggest passions. “Singing is something that can free your emotions but also lets you share a piece of yourself with the world”. Suraya isn’t quite sure yet what she’ll do after university but is just enjoying learning about the things she loves!
