At 19 years old, Michael is a second-year student studying a Bachelor of Media, Communications and Music. He chose the role of music/imaging producer to bring his skills and knowledge in music production to a professional production and setting. As an avid consumer of social media and someone who is always creating digital content from visual design to music, he is well suited to this position. Michael always strives for perfection and so, ‘Inside Out’ certainly highlight his expertise in a field he is passionate about. It is through this knowledge and experience in music production that he hopes will bring forward new sonic perspectives and reimagine the way audiences consume audio content.
Lochie Mitchell has been studying Media majoring in Radio, Digital Audio & Broadcast Production, for a year and half now. Alongside his studies Lochie works full time as a model and has had the chance to work throughout Australia and with some of the worlds finest companies, photographers and largest publications, his credits include Gucci, GQ Australia, RUSSH, Vogue Italia, Australian Fashion Week, Factorie/ Cotton On and more. However Lochie’s passion is in music, spending the entirety of his spare time writing, recording and producing songs. His debut single was just released independently under the stage name Lochie Colin, this avenue of work has started to open up as he has recently started to work with multiple producers and record labels on his debut album ‘Racing’ Which will be released later this year. Alongside this he has gained a small amount of media attention doing interviews about his music with GQ and RUSSH. Expanding on all his hobbies and occupations, Lochie is also currently writing a full length feature film titled ‘Theodore Jenkins’ which he hopes on independently producing in 2021. Moving forward Lochie hopes to broaden his horizons and work further with more creatives within the media industry and will take all the opportunities presented to him in hopes to broaden his media knowledge.
Sam Gillian is 21 years old and is studying a Bachelor of Media and Communications majoring in Radio and Podcasting. As a child, Sam had an interest in the media and was curious as to what went on behind the scenes. Hoping to one day be heard on Triple J, Sam has a strong passion for music and producers her own content. After university, she is aspiring to be either a music producer or radio manager. It’s the diverse nature of radio that makes Sam love what she studies!
